October 4th   ….   Wiregrass Antique and Collector Car Show · 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Landmark Park in Dothan, Alabama.
Visit one of the largest car shows in the Wiregrass Region with approximately 200 cars on display, ranging in age from “T” models to custom classics. Adults, $5; children, $3; members, free. Hosted by the Wiregrass Antique and Collector Car Club.

October 17th    ….   ‘Rumors’   is being presented at the Spanish Trail Playhouse in Chipley.  At a large tastefully appointed Sneden’s Landing townhouse, the Deputy Mayor  of New York has just shot himself.  Though only a flesh wound, four couples are about to experience a severe attack of Farce.  Gathering for their tenth wedding anniversary, the host lies bleeding in the other room and his wife is nowhere in sight.  His lawyer, Ken and wife Chris must get “the story” straight before the other guests arrive.  As the confusions and mis-communications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity.

October 24th-25th   …    Landmark Park Quilt Show at Landmark Park in Dothan, Alabama.  Over 100 antique and modern quilts on display in the Stokes Activity Barn. Juried show and exhibit, with sewing related vendors. Held in conjunction with Wiregrass Heritage Festival.

 

October 25th   …    Wiregrass Heritage Festival at Landmark Park in Dothan, Alabama.  Learn how peanuts were harvested in the Wiregrass Region a half-century ago. Enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of cane grinding, syrup making, butter churning, basket weaving, soap making, and other traditional farm activities. Also, plenty of music and a wide variety of antique gas and steam engines will be on display. Adults, $8; senior citizens, $6; children, $4; members, free.
