Vernon Middle School students recently thanked Washington County Deputies and Sheriff for their service. Twelve deputies came out and enjoyed lunch on VMS. The students made posters and read cards to them. After lunch they engaged in some corn hole, basketball and football with the students.
More than 1,000 area high school seniors attended Chipola College’s recent annual Senior Day hosted by the Student Ambassadors. Students from Calhoun, Holmes, Jackson, Liberty and Washington counties enjoyed performances by the Chipola cheerleaders, men’s and women’s basketball teams, show choir and theater.
