Over 70? What keeps you motivated? ……….

In recent months I’ve spent a fair amount of time giving thought to the above questions and I’m still looking for answers.  However, I have come up with a few ideas, including the following list, of what keeps me motivated:

  •  My children
  •  My grandchildren
  •  My extended family
  •  My church friends
  •  My friends thoughout the community

And, sometimes it’s even random strangers I meet in conjunction with my work.  Then there are times it’s just someone I meet on the street and talk to for a few minutes.  They smile or point out some pleasant happening I may have missed.

As I pointed out recently to someone who wanted to know why I was still working.  The answer is – I just don’t sit on my ass well – doing nothing.

I’ve been a journalist for a long time, although most days it doesn’t seem all that long, and it is something I enjoy.

Now, I want to know what keeps you motivated.

I would like to publish your stories  – with or without identifying you.

Please jot down your thoughts on what keeps you motivated and send them to me at kathymfoster@bellsouth.net.

I look forward to hearing from you.
