Chipley City Council approves Sept. 19 agenda items ……..

Chipley’s City Council met Sept. 19th and approved the following items on their agenda:

  •  First Reading of Ordinance No. 945 which updates some language and the natural gas rates/calculations in the City Code.
  •  First Reading of Ordinance No. 946 which updates language in the City Code related to Code Enforcement.
  •  Resolution No. 17-17 which is a 16/17 Budget Amendment.  This budget amendment includes an increase in the FY 16/17 Budget in the amount of $131,529.
  •  Request for a Manufactured Home Siting & Variance at 680 Deermont Circle for Deborah Brown.
  •  Moratorium on distribution of Medical Marijuana Dispensaries.
  • CRA Administration Contract Renewal.  The Washington County Chamber of Commerce did not request an increase.  The CRA Administration Contract is $2,075 a month.
  •  CRA Alleyway Plan update.
  •  CRA Business Mentoring Program candidate Alesha Pridgen of By Your Side Home Care Services, LLC.
  •  Special Event permit for the Chipley High School Homecoming Parade on Oct. 13th beginning at 12:45 p.m.
  •  Special Event permit for the Annual Trunk or Treat at Pals Park Soccer Field on Oct. 28th from 4:30 p.m.  to 6:00 p.m.
  •  Special Event permit for a 5K Run/Walk being hosted by First Baptist Church of Chipley.  The event is being held to raise funds for Avalyn Barber and will be held Oct. 21st from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
  •  A fee waiver request to have impact fees waived for a parcel of land on 8th Street.
  •  Disposition of a 2002 Ford F-150 truck
  •  Disposition of a 2002 Ford F-250 truck
  •  Disposition of a 2003 Ford F-250 truck
  •  Appointment of Marcus Yeager to the Recreation Committee.
  •  Appointment of David Ridley to P&Z Board to replace Tracy Andrews.
  •  Adding the position of Police Investigator/Code Enforcement Officer to the Police Department.
  •  Employee Pay Plan update.
