Warm Weather and Big Crowds Highlight the 4th Annual Live Oak Baptist Church ‘Back to School Bash’ on Saturday, August 12, 2017

On Saturday, August 12, 2017, the Live Oak Baptist Church in Vernon, Florida presented their 4th Annual ‘Back to School Bash’ on the campus of the church, as seen in these photos by Real Florida Media, a subsidiary of The Goulding Agency in Chipley, Florida.

Held from 10AM until 1PM, this year’s event was commemorated to the late Florida Panhandle Technical College Cosmetology Instructor Kim Miller, who contributed much to this and many other events in the community throughout the year.

Free haircuts were furnished by Florida Panhandle Technical College, while back to school supplies, including backpacks, pens and pencils and notebooks were distributed to returning school children.

Gospel music and entertainment prevailed throughout the day, with free hot dogs and drinks, partially sponsored by Washington County Commissioner Tray Hawkins and local attorney Greg Wilson, author of the informational column ‘It’s The Law’ seen online, on Facebook and on Foster-Folly News.
