Obituary for Jimmy Curry ………

Mr. Jimmy Curry transitioned to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the Signature Health Care in Graceville, Florida.

Mr. Curry was born June 5, 1942 to the late Sherman Sr., and Earline Cox Curry.

He was preceded in death by stepmother Jessie Mae Curry; also seven siblings: Inez Ramsey, Minnie Sheffield, Mary Peterson, Johnnie Mae Curry, Carlton Ray Curry, Frank Curry and James “Jerome” Curry.

He is survived by two daughters: Nashun Harris(Sean) of Tampa, Florida and Lavette Curry of Miami, Florida; sixteen children in Miami, Florida; six brothers: John Curry of Graceville, Florida, Clifford Curry and Danny Curry (Jewellene) both of Miami, Florida, Elkay Curry, Sherman Curry (Veryl) both of Chipley, Florida, and Willie Charles Nix of Ocala, FL; eleven sisters: Maggie Laster, Josephine Curry, Hilda McClendon (John) and Ann Curry all of Graceville, Florida, Frankie Curry, Sharon Johnson, Betty Brooks, Juline Gardner, Betty Jean Curry all of Chipley, Florida, Gloria Nix of Dade City, Florida and Laura McClain of Youngstown, Ohio; fifty grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; two very special friends: Alice Sorey and Callie Broxton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11AM, Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Mount Calvary Holiness Church Written in Heaven in Graceville, Florida with Elder James M. Bighem, Pastor/Teacher officiating.

Those ask to serve as pallbearers: Jock Blandenburg, Kahlil Ramsey, Williston Brook, Bryan Curry, Bradis Robinson, Dwight Laster and Antony Curry.

Mr. Curry was laid to rest in the Graceville Community Cemetery in Graceville under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, FL. Additional information can be obtained at
