The Chipola College Lady Indians were eliminated from the NJCAA National Softball Tournament on May 18, after a 1-0 loss to Northeastern Oklahoma.
Chipola suffered a 2-0 loss to Central Arizona earlier on Thursday in the double-elimination tournament.

Chipola finished with an overall 59-9 record this year with a runner-up finish in the FCSAA State Tournament, a Panhandle Conference Championship, and another national tournament appearance.

The Lady Indians had 11 players on the All Panhandle Conference Team, three players on the State All-Tournament Team and four on the Florida All-State Team.

The Lady Indians finished the 2015-16 season with a (50-15) record and an FCSAA State Championship. They finished second in the NJCAA National Championship which they won in 2015.

Lady Indians Coach Belinda Hendrix picked up her 500th win in 2016. She has been named state coach of the year five times in 12 seasons at Chipola. Hendrix and her Associate Head Coach and husband, Jimmy Hendrix, lead the team along with Assistant Coach Kelly Brookins.
