Letter to Editor from Martha Compton ……..

To all:

On Wednesday, along with only a handful of others, Florida Panhandle Technical College was recognized at the annual COE meeting in Texas for 40 years of Accreditation.  As I reflected on the number of COE visits and the time and effort that this entailed from past and current staff, the only thing I could do was be thankful that we have 5 years before we host a team again (LOL).

I am honored to work with an amazing staff and I take pride in all of the accomplishments that we continue to make with strong support from Superintendent Taylor and Board Members.  It takes a lot of hard work and strong work ethics to stay on top as one of the best CTE training facilities in Florida.  Our enrollment is on the rise, our industry certifications continue to grow and businesses are coming  to us with their training needs.  We will always strive to be better, but what more could we ask for today : )

In 2017, we will CELEBRATE 50 years of serving the Panhandle of Florida! Get ready for a birthday bash that will last the entire year!

Thank you for continuing a respected tradition and for bringing PRIDE to FPTC and Washington County!

Martha
