When a Chipola College professor reached out to Mrs. Rackley seeking student authors, eight students submitted their works to be published in the prestigious Florida English Journal.
Students reviewed novels pertaining to the Holocaust, giving their opinions on whether teachers should teach these texts in the classroom. In addition, these students analyzed the benefits and challenges that may accompany exposing students to aspects of the Holocaust in a middle school classroom.
These eight entries can be read in the summer edition of the Florida English Journal, set to be released in June 2016. Each student contributor will be given her own copy of the publication.
