According to the FHP, Martha Bramlet was driving a 2001 Dodge van east on Interstate 10 at the 121 mile marker in the inside through lane at the time of the incident.
Due to a left rear tire blow out, the driver began to lose control of the vehicle and the driver over-corrected which caused the van to enter the median in a northeasterly direction. The van continued through the center grassy median and crossboth westbound lanes of the interstate. The van began to overturn on the north shoulder and came to final rest on its left side facing a southerly direction.
Several passengers were ejected from the vehicle.
