MARIANNA— Two Chipola College men’s basketball players are moving on the next level.
Marianna native Kruize Pinkins has signed with the University of San Francisco. Pinkins averaged 11.4 points and 7 rebounds per game. He shot 58% from the floor and 49% from three-point range. Pinkins also was recruited by Murray State and Florida Gulf Coast.
The 6-foot-7 Pinkins will find a familiar face in San Francisco, as former Chipola assistant Brent Crews now coaches there. USF competes in NCAA’s Division I and is a member of the West Coast Conference.
Terel Hall, a 6’0 guard out of Dawson, Georgia, has signed with Savannah State University. Hall averaged 6 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds per game and was considered a team leader. Hall was also recruited by North Carolina Central and North Carolina A & T.
Savannah State is an NCAA Division I school in the MEAC Conference.
The Chipola Indians made it the first round of the FCSAA State Tournament this season where they lost Central Florida who went on to win both the state and national championships. Chipola finished the season as runner-up in the Panhandle Conference with a 23-7 record.
