Chipley Woman Injured In Bay County Crash

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reports that Chipley resident Kimberly L. Bell was listed in serious condition following a Dec. 6th crash in Bay County.

According to the FHP, Bell was riding her 2004 Yamaha northbound on State Road 77 around 6:50 p.m. when 58 year old Barbara L.  King pulled her 1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager into the motorcyclist’s path.

The FHP report indicates that the Plymouth was crossing State Road 77  and entered into the path of Bell’s motorcycle.   The motorcycle collided with the Plymouth’s right rear.

Bell landed in the roadway and was transported to Bay Medical Center with a broken pelvis, leg and arm.  She was wearing a helmet.

King told officers that she was unable to see the motorcyclist in time.  She was charged with violation of right of way with serious bodily injuries.
